Dubai may be considered a kind of Disneyland for those passionate about architecture. The new Apple store in the largest city in the United Arab Emirates is not far from it and impresses with its architectural design. The store opened on the 27th.

Located within the Dubai Mall, one of the world’s premier shopping malls and hosting more than 80 million visitors annually, the establishment faces the famous Burj Khalifa skyscraper and the Dubai Fountain. All this view can be viewed by consumers through the store’s 56-meter facade.

To complete the minimalist design, the architects of the company Foster + Partners, responsible for the project, created the Solar Wings, an immense installation of kinetic art inspired by the Arabic trellis called muxarabi and also in the flight movement of the birds.

The interior, in turn, is not very different from several other Apple stores scattered around the world. The two floors house large rectangular wooden tables, staff dressed in blue and a vast space for circulation.
